You think it's slow here??? You should watch the WA forums; there's been more activity in this one thread since Hugh posted the question than in my local chapter of MUD since I got here!

just start trashing their mud vs GA mud and see if u can generate some interest. on a more serious note u should look up boots4 from hardcore forum. ithought he was in Washington. he has a great diesel build thread.

Nice Tundra on 38s. Lift was pretty shady though. Had a suspension lift (blocks in back) AND a body lift...

Doesn't a shady lift void the warranty :hillbilly:

Do the techs need stools to work on those monsters? Without a lift they are still huge.

You technically can't "void" a warranty. They just don't warranty the stuff that's not theirs or damage related to said items. I'm pretty sure this one has some miles on it anyway.

No stools I don't think. They do get fairly creative when working on stuff like this though. More importantly, notice the lack of step bars? The guy must jump in and out of the truck every time. His driver's side grab handle definitely had some wear on it.

38's eh? That means he can follow me anywhere I go since we have the same size tires. Although he should run circles around me with all that horsepower and new technology!

He can't follow you anywhere because he didn't increase his suspension travel at all. He also can't follow you because it's a massive tundra. Most places we go he might get a little body damage.

But you gotta admit, it'd sure be fun to watch him try :steer: :smokin:

Do the techs bitch and moan?
When I had my rack replaced at the dealer in Rome the tech was a real a****** to me. He said, "I don't know why you guys feel like you have to do all that crap to these trucks."

I responded that if we didn't and used them the way we do they would be broken all the time. He was just a curmudgen.

Depends on the tech. Most of the time we're all out there looking at it to see what all they have done to the truck. I would say it's mixed between thinking it's cool (someone who obviously likes cars/trucks as a hobby) and that it's stupid which is usually the grumpy ones that hate everything anyway.

It is pretty universal that techs are a bunch of whiners. Some are just worse than others. The guy you had sounds like one of those people that just hates his job and hates life in general.

Wait, what?! So then why would someone put all that lift and all that money into big tires and not need them for wheeling??? o_O :slap: :rainbow: ghey!

:deadhorse:

Because it looks super kewl and it's totally practical!!! Duh!!! :rainbow:
Oh yeah, I forgot how much lifts and way taller tires can add to the efficiency of a truck! :rimshot:
