so I got the 1hz in and wired up and the starter wont crank also don't think the glow plugs are working and the light isn't showing on the dash

Fusible links near the battery terminal? Are you power getting anywhere?

clutch disks 1fz left 1hz right

Apart from the spline count, whats the difference? If you looked at them sideways, are they the same thickness?

yeah starter relay clicks but doesn't excite the starter I can jump it and will crank but wont start as the glow plugs aren't working either

clutch disks are the same dimensions, I used the 1fz pressure plate and clutch disk on the 1hz

had to swap power steering lines as one of the 1fz ones wouldn't reach the power steering pump also need to do the same for the a/c compressor lines, I wouldn't recommend doing this swap unless you have a complete parts car like myself, so many small things that needs changing

yeah got it running took it for a drive today then the stater motor decided to die on me

turned out the connections just needed a clean all working perfect now

adaptor loom I spliced together to mate the engine bay wiring to the gearbox wiring i cut and joined the h55f gearbox loom to the 1fz engine loom, now backup lights, fuel gauge and 4wd dash light all work

nothing like a 1000km round trip to test the 1hz swap, all went well, did have 1 brake down 350km into it, diesel primer pump was sucking in air making the engine stall and loose power (nothing Toyota was a Nissan patrol Y60 part)

Hi there
Bit of a hijack, but if you still have an H150 laying around , coud you measure up the length of the input shaft for me please.
From the tip to the g box face (where it meets the bell housing).
Be great if you can

George.

195mm from mounting face to the end of input shaft, that's a h150f from a hzj80

Thankyou so much for the information.
Anyone correct me if i am wrong, but I believe that all H150 and H151 input shafts are the same length for all engine configurations, just a spline difference between the two???

Pretty sure the vdj79/78/76 h151s have a longer input

A bit of off-road action in the troopy
