Wanted to let you know that I looked long and hard for this club - and without help I wouldn't have found it.

The ONSC website has a link to the ih8mud forum, but it doesn't work
When you go to the ih8mud homepage, there's no link for the clubhouses so I didnt' know they existed
You have to go to the forum page, and then you can see the clubhouse section at the top.

Might make sense for someone to update the ONSC website with the correct link to this forum?

Will fix right now. Thanks for the heads up.

Fixed. Let me know if it works the way you expect it to.

Thanks for pointing that out!

Thanks guys.

Well, I'm 40 years old - I work in Operations in Greensboro / Wendover area. I live up by the airport. I have 4 kids - 18, 15, 13, 11 and a beautiful 2nd wife. I've been into cars for my whole life but until about 3 years ago I had most of the work done by professionals. 3 years ago, I bought a beat down 1976 Jeep CJ5 and learned how to turn wrenches. Did the following: replaced clutch, starter, bellhousing, brake lines, fuel tank, fuel pump, ignition, etc. Also removed all the rust, patched and painted with monstaliner inside and out. After pouring a LOT of time and effort into the Jeep, I decided it was time to upgrade to what I really wanted: the FJ40. Got mine about a month ago from a guy in Connecticut. He had bought it from a guy in Dallas that had restored it. I knew I wanted one that had already been restored, because I have too many projects already. It came with 2 sets of wheels and tires (I left the stock rims with 33/10.5's on the truck - the other set are aluminum rims with 33/12.5's that look very beefy... I prefer the stock look). It also came with a hardtop, 2 softtops (1 black/1 canvas colored), and a set of mint original front and rear seats (I think what's in the car now is from a newer Cruiser). Only a few minor issues with the truck: the rear driveshaft has a nice dent in it, so above 50 there's a shake... rear original rims are bent too - so I'm getting replacements.

Other than the FJ40, I have a bevy of other cars that I work on: My daily is a wrx with a stage 2 protune and coilovers, I have a 2003 Suburban that's currently for sale, a convertible e30, and about to get my parents old Del Sol... I have too many car projects. Also, I'm really into car and home audio and I have a saltwater fishtank. I also enjoy boating and RV'ing - both of which are old and beat up... Boat's for sale too.. $10k gets you the Suburban and the boat if you're interested :)

Anyway - I hope to meet up with some of you guys and mostly just ask what all the damn buttons and levers on my dash do.... ;)

Welcome, James. There's few of us with 350's in our 40's - kind of a support group! You're always welcome to come to a CLT or RAL meeting (usually once a month, and posted here as a thread), but the group seems to be increasing in your area so maybe there will be one there again soon. There was a great cookout in a park in Kernersville last year that would be great to repeat.

Do you have any plans to go off road, or is it a trailer queen? Uwharrie National Forest is our local stomping grounds. I'm sure we can find you a seat on a trip if you'd like to ride along first.

Post up some pics!

I"m down for lunch. And I'd be down for some of the easier trails at URE, never been but I had plans to thrash my old CJ there (never got around to it) I'm a little leary of scratches/dents in this thing because it's been kept pretty nice - but I'm not afraid to get it dirty.

Cookout in Kvegas sounds like a good idea. I assume it was Triad Park - which is a good spot for sure.

Looking forward to helping the Triad group get back up and running.
