Looks like an extended cab project.

It would be perfect timing though to build an FJ45 MaxCab to conicide with the release of the 07 Tundra MaxCab...

Drat, I was thinking a nice woody wagon FJ45LV would be nice............. :D

this will definetky be an xcab, not a mega or max cab. i'll leave that to the newer toyotas and dodges.
since this will be a shop truck i need to have a bed on it. the plan is to build an aluminm 6-7ft flatbed.

This will be a fun build to watch!! I've got a 81 FJ40 frame just sitting in the back yard, and I have no use for it Let me know if you want it!

don't ask.......

i just bought a new dodge megacab so i really don't need a "shop-truck" anymore. had to go with something more practical and able to tow my junk to the trail, wherever that might be.
besides that, i have my hj45 troopie to use as a shop project so the extra cab had to find a new home. and it did so just this saturday. dan aka D'animal has it now. he was building something almost identical but his body was beyond shot. so he got all the parts and pieces i had and will be building it. i'm sure he'll start a thread about it as soon as he gets going on it.

i'm kinda bummed out about it but i have so many other irons in the fire that i just could'nt take on a project like that right now. maybe when the time comes, i will build one. been wanting to do so for a long time.......
on the other hand i'm stoked that dan has it now cause i know it'll get built!

Damn that truck looks like crap. You have no idea how happy Melissa was to get that thing out of the back yard. D'animal's got the whole situation now huh? Hopefully it'll get built. You ever get that title?

hey brendan.
how's things going? did you check out the rest of the thread? the burn victim LV has donated the rest of its parts to other wagons and the chassis and title (which i got a while ago, thanks again) are now morphing into a swb45 pickup in socal.
no news on the xcab project that i'm aware of. i know dan is on the road right now; pretty sure he's meeting woody at his place in wisconsin today.
