In the FSM it states to tighten the bearing lock nut to 43ft/pds with a SST. How do you guys do that without the SST? if I remember correctly the lock nut is round in the rear, so a hub socket won't work.
thanks for the help,
Jan

edit: It's an 84 HJ60 rear axle.

the SST is about US$36 or something if you want to order one. There has also been talk of using front lock nuts if you aready have it apart but i can't confirm this for you.
I'll be happy to order one. Could you please let me know where I can do that? Toyota?
thanks
Jan

edit: Got it, thank you! 37$ at http://toyota.spx.com/detail.aspx?id=314&g=22

I think it's the three prong dealy bob thing that the T-100 trucks use. And, yes you an put front spindle nuts on the rear. It helps to do that so you can carry less tools on the trail.
