hey guys - did a search for this, but came up empty.

when sitting, a faint and constant bubbling noise is heard from the rear of the truck. it's so faint, i usually only notice it when i'm away from the city.

i've visually checked for leaks in the fuel filler hose and vapor return lines, and no fuel leaks have been found.

is air getting into my system somewhere, or is this normal due to vapors and expansion of the fuel?

any direction to a previous thread or info would be cool - TSH

When the tank cools off it sucks air in through one of the lines and it bubbles up through the gas in the tank. It's meant to do that to relieve the vacuum as the gas cools off.

Glad I found this. Mine (1985) does the same thing, even as it sat for days...Low fuel, not much in the tank. Lots of vapor-makes perfect sense

Thx, always wondered about that. I would hear it at night when I was sleeping in my truck.
