Fuel pump compatibility between LHD and RHD car

Hi, I am thinking about buying a second LC80 and it is probably time for car to have a new / rebuild of fuel pump and injectors. I live in Spain and parts here are quite scarce whilst in the UK there is lots of parts (however, UK cars are right hand drive). Whilst I know many parts are the same on LHD / RHD cars, I would like to check if anyone know whether the fuel pump is likely to be same. And if there are differences, would it be possible to modify to fit by a good mechanic / parts rebuild company? Also, if anyone know where this could be verified, e.g. how to check with Toyota, that would be welcome.
I will summarise any conclusions and re-post for future ease of reference.

When you refer to 'fuel pump', do you mean the injector pump for a diesel motor (1hz or 1hdt) or for a petrol motor? I think there are some differences in the diesel injector pumps based on climate but don't have any experience servicing them.

If you have a diesel 80 series find a good diesel workshop and have a talk to them.

I haven't owned or driven a petrol engined 80 but petrol 80's (aka Lexus LX450's) were I think like 100 pct of the 80 series market in the USA so that's the right place to quiz for 1fzfe engine issues.

if its a gas truck I would expect the in tank fuel pump to be the same, probably the sender unit as well

Thanks, apologies I should have mentioned the engine type. It is a turbo diesel 1HD-FT 24 valve. I will also try to find a diesel workshop to ask, thanks.

Pump will be basically the same barring any emissions components.

22101-17840 is the pump body.
From 1990 to 1997 Lhd or Rhd
The body is compatible to many Toyota diesels so finding parts should be fairly easy,
Find a good diesel shop.
Also drop into the Diesel section on Mud...

Thanks all for the input. Based on that I will buy a RHD used fuel pump (which is not only easier to find but also 1/3 in cost). I will post when swapped to confirm it worked (or not).
