I posted on this some time back, took it to the Toyota mech. who said it was a part that regulated gas and oxygen going into the carburetor. He replaced it, but the problem persists. >:(

Here's the problem: while driving at any speed, any outside temp and near-empty or full tank, the engine will cut out intermittently, for just a second or two. It's like the fuel line gets plugged, then clears. I'll keep going and 5 minutes, or 20 minutes later, it does it again. It DOES seem to happen after the engine has warmed up, and has been running for 20 minutes or so.

Some other details: it runs a little hot. Has a brand new radiator, water pump and t-stat. Mechanic says the carb. is fine. When it's running, it seems to run very well.

Last year I had the fuel pump replaced. Did I get a bad part? Is this fuel-flow related? I don't like driving it with this "bucking" it does.

Your thoughts are most appreciated; I'm returning to the Toyota guy on Wednesday.

It does not sound like a bad fuel pump to me. I just replaced my bad fuel pump, and those were not the symptoms at all.

But I don't know what it does sound like- sorry
