My 76 fj40 sprung a fuel leak, need to identify this part for replacement.

that's the fuel pump, and it is not OEM, get a new one, and change your engine oil.
 
Can't figure it out, doesn't look like any of the replacement fuel pumps I've found online?
 
That looks like a fuel pressure regulator in the position of where the OEM fuel pump should be. So guessing you have an electric fuel pump? Weber carb? If you have an electric fuel pump, you'll have a block off plate where the factory pump goes.

It is a fuel pump. I think off an old chevy 6. JimC or MarkA or someone mentioned it way back in the archives.
This is one I pulled off a 75 2f and replaced with a OEM.

Attached tag with a number. No other makings I could find. Worked fine but I had a new OEM to replace it with.

Yes. Just re-use the fittings.
 
New OEM fuel pump arrived yesterday - larger than I expected... seems like a tight fit for the location? I removed the battery for easier access. Probably going to replace from above, the skid plate below prevents any access from that direction.
