Fuel gauge updates on ignition to read correctly but does not go down with gas use and sticks after the truck is turned off (until fired up again -- can't remember if that is normal).

Since it reads correctly on igntion I am guessing it is not the sender .. probably electric then? or am I way off?

Thank you for any insight!

It should go down when ignition is off. I don't have any insight on why it would not move during use.

There is a thread where someone had sticking or not working gauges and replaced the stepper motors, but I don't know if that is your issue.

Good luck.
