Hi,
I have a 1975 Fj40. I am moving from Orlando to West Palm area and having some guage issues. The fuel gauge works occasionally. It sometime works when the lights are on or randomly for about 30 seconds. I would like to know how much I have instead of stopping every couple of exits to fill up.
I am trying to get to the bottom of it and thinking of replacing the fuel sending unit first. Is that a hard install or is as simple as removing seat, unscrewing/disconnecting the old unit and dropping the new one in?
Also, in case it is the gauge cluster I may just put in a cheaper after-market one...any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
