Does 2013 requires any calibration? I only have the rain sensor. No lane departure and no auto high beams.

Nope. Just make sure there aren't any bubbles in the clear tape under the rain sensor.

Good info. So it does need some special clear tape.
Yeah it is this 1/16-1/8” thick clear gel stuff in a strip, and it is not cheap. $35 or so.

I’m not sure whether a good installer can reuse yours, or if they stock it.. when I had my windshield replaced I just had everything on hand and they used it.

I’m starting to get bubbles under mine now. Had to press on it to be the sensor wipers to work.

OEM or pilkington? My previous pilkington panel must have had the bracket crooked because the tape would never sit completely flat. It was good enough to work most of the time though.
The OEM panel I have now didn’t have that issue.

Old OEM (that has been changed 2x) so I don’t know if they ever changed it at all.

Thanks I found it 8994450021.

Speaking of parts, FSM is talking about "windshield adhesive dam" that it is installed on the glass before installing along with the stoppers/pads and the top trim. FSM makes to sound like this and the urethane adhesive are different things. Are they?

Do the interior trims around the windshield have to come out? On other cars that I have they don't.

I got the dam but my installer didn’t use it. He said the way he does things it isn’t necessary.. something about the existing adhesive doing the same job.

Interior trim stays in place. They just need to not get it all dirty and messed up. Someone that knows what they are doing will have no problem with this.

My guy did want new exterior side trim though. He said he can try to save it but often ends up damaging it. Also in the FSM they call for a flexible epoxy to hold the stainless side trim retention brackets to the body at the top.. many guys just use urethane but it isn’t nearly as good. Whoever you use, it’s worth asking if they are familiar with that detail.
