Hey,

Does anyone know where to purchase a set of polyurehane bushings in Southern Ontario? I've checked w toyota and NAPA but they only sell the rubber ones. I've also tried to search, but didn't get any good hits.

Its for the front shackles in my 87 BJ70.

Cheers
Darryl

why do you want to go poly?
rubber lasts longer i my experience, better flex, nicer ride (okay both of these are marginal but still better than stiff poly...

FJ60 shackles are the same...good to know, all the kits I've seen only list the FJ60. Thanks Dave.

Wayne...I like the fancy colours of the poly and extra grease fittings are always fun. Does the softer rubber not allow the shackles to roll over slightly? Mine don't appear to be very vertical (viewed from the front)....perhaps I should get new shackles with the little cross peice?

Genuine Toyota rubber shackle bushes generally last longer and transfer less shock and noise and vibration than the poly type. As your springs flatten out the shackle will be moved further forward on the bottom. Try cutting a shackle rubber up once you remove it and then compare that to the poly one.:D
