So Saturday when I was working under my truck I noticed this:

So any ideas on where the oil is coming from? The top pic is the bottom of the #2 oil pan and the bottom pic is from the top of the engine looking down showing that the oil seems to be isolated to just the bottom of the engine.

Not shown in is my oil leak at the rear of the #2 oil pan (or rear main, I still haven't used a mirror in the access port to make sure it isn't the rear main).

Could it be coming from the front timing cover? This has screws that hold it on (not bolts). Mine was leaking on my LX450 and had to be replaced. Not really a seap but more like a drip.

Thanks

Andrew

You've taken a pic of your crankshaft position sensor. Others have posted that it can begin to slowly leak. Doubt your front crankshaft seal is leaking because you don't have the oil slung everywhere around the front, like I do on mine, D'OH. You can easily remove that cover and tighten her up it may stop your slow drip. If that doesn't stop it then Andrew is right.

I would suspect the pan arch as well. But you do have dirt caked on the timing cover. I would clean it all up real well with degreaser or some other product and monitor the leak. good luck robbie
