I recently removed my running boards and immediately started getting dirty doors and rockers from the front tire throwing stuff up. I figured it was only a matter of time before I started chipping paint from rocks getting thrown up, so I ordered a set of front mud flaps and brackets from cruiserdan. I asked Dan to send me whatever hardware he thought I needed, without even looking myself.

He sent me a few extras of some fasteners and not enough of some others, no big deal.

One kewl thing: he sent me two bolts and I needed six that size. It turns out that these are EXACTLY the same as the bolts that hold on Aisin hub bodies, the ones that go through the cone washers. The two bolts that Dan sent me are exactly the same in every way as the ones I had sitting in a jar from my 1976 FJ55. So now my 100 has Piggie parts!

The hardware that you need for this install, if you removed running boards and have never had front mud flaps:

The mud flaps themselves, part nos 76622-60060 and 76622-60070

The mud flap brackets, part nos 76641-60020 and 76642-60020

Two self tapping screws, part no 90159-60416 (you need four total, but will reuse two on the truck)

Two plastic nutserts for those two screws, I don't know the part number

Six of those bolts the same as the Aisin hub bolts, don't know the part number

sean,

About $75 from cruiserdan for the flaps and brackets.

I'll go out and take a pic, back in a few minutes...

Pics.

With and without running boards:

with mud flaps, and closeup of mud flap installed. They are nice, don't hang down low, are stiff. Look at your rear mud flap construction; they are the same, just shaped for the front wheel well and rocker:

Good looking install. Stock parts.

BTW, you guys with after-market rear bumpers. How have you handled the issue with rear mud flaps? Here in WA state (like it or not) the State Patrol has started to enforce them. Mudflaps have to reach down to at least the center of the axle. On a lifted vehicle that can be two large pieces of rubber.

Maybe states in the Rockies and south (with less rain) have different regulations.

if u used kaymar or tjm u would use the OEM mud flap, slee rear bumper its short and its fitted without mud flap.

Stock mud flaps won't last long if you use the car for offroading. I've made mud flaps from reinforced 6mm rubber. I've used stock mud flaps to cut out the rubber and to make holes, so they can be mounted using stock screws. I've never had problems with them.

Got the parts. Anyone have a link to the FSM on how to put this puzzle together. Missing something here.

Theses are the correct part numbers. Despite what the Toyota schematic says, poorly drawn and mislabeled. Onur has about 12 left. Probably the only left in the US.

I installed these years ago...

There's a scan somewhere on how the various bolts and brackets go on... I'll see if I can find it.

If its the Toyota schematic than its all messed up. Drawn wrong and wrong part numbers. If you have the right parts it's easy to figure out.

My p/n's for the front mud flaps were 76622-60060 and 76621-60070. Either the 1 wrong one above is for Lexus or has been superseded.

Well, I took my running boards off and have the parts to install the mud flaps, but there was too much rust on one side and the bolt pulled through. Oh well, I like it way better without the running boards anyway.

Received a quote for the parts to perform the swap. $155 sound correct? Seems steep for some plastic flaps and screws.

If you're worried about rock chips and scratches behind the front tire, go to a vinyl car wrap guy and have them put a color matched vinyl sticker down in that area.
