I was fortunate to buy a '06 CPO 100 from PA, where a front license plate is not required. Since I live in NY where a front license plate IS required, rather then drilling holes in my "vintage" bumper I searched for a more technical solution for what was a 68K vehicle when new. After some searching, I found this on Amazon:

For these living in a state where front license plates are required, one of these brackets, along with a pair of machine screws, will enable you to mount your front license plate using the OEM threaded holes without drilling into the bumper.

Can you post up some pics of these threaded holes?

I used the same bracket as up5799 on my 200 Series LC. Here's what the holes look like on mine:

And after the plate was mounted without making two new holes and using the bracket in the two existing mounting points:

Old thread I know....but had the same issue with our 2004 here in Colorado. Been rolling the dice without a front plate, and pretty sure my number was almost up. Hope it works. Thanks for sharing.
