Front Facing Camera

I recently installed the Naviks Unit in my 02 LC with factory nav. Turned out great. Thread for reference:

I am interested in putting in a front facing trail camera as well. Does anyone have input on which front cameras are good? Ideally a license plate mount one without the parking tracks or lines.

I used this one: Amazon product ASIN B078ZZSKQ2
Works well. There's a diagram to know which loops to cut to show/hide the backup lines, but IIRC I didn't have to cut any. I have a license plate version of the same brand camera on the rear, also without parking lines.

Thanks, are you using the Naviks Unit with OEM nav, or an aftermarket head unit?

I've got the VLine installed. It has two RCA inputs. I actually almost bought the Naviks unit but needed to reset the Vline and found that it had the inputs.

The Naviks actually has 2 RCA's and an HDMI input now. Switched toggle.

I bought a couple cheapies off amazon and neither worked (you get what you pay for with these). Picked up this one and it works great will be flush mount when I get done tweaking but to give you an idea. This one allows you to reverse the image and turn off the guide lines, which is essential for the forward facing camera.

I may position it down a bit to see whats right at the bumper.

I ended up putting in a more adjustable location, so I could see more of what was right near the bumper.

Part numbers are different but they appear to be almost exactly the same. The Compiste Video input is what is used for the forward facing camera. On a side note I ended up securing the camera to a more solid plate.
