Hey Fellas, I need some info the Mini front DS's. I'm looking to run one on my 40 and have been told that a pre-85 CV shaft will fit my diff flange. I've found a couple posts that say '83 is the one I need and that '84 and later are different  so now I'm even for confused (I know, it didn't take much)What better place to find out folks that drive them, right.

What year did the bolt patterns change on the Mini front CV shafts? What are the bolt patterns (69mm x 69mm and 69mm x 79mm) for the '83 shafts?

And if anyone would happen to have an '83 front shaft just laying around, taking up garage space and collecting dust, PM me please.:D

Thanks!

I have one, but Rob has it on his mini right now. Maybe, you could grab one from one of Chris's minis

Are cruiser output flanges the same spline count/ diameter as mini's? If so, you can purchase a univeral companion flange from Marlin or others, which will fit all years. Drilled in all possible configurations, and fairly cheap to boot.

Later cruiser output flanges are the same spline count. Older ones are coarse...

Kurt at Cruiser outfitters and Jess at highangle Driveline both sell the coarse splined round flanges...

BTW, ANY mini/cruiser CV can be clearanced to give you the articulation you need. I think Jess charges like $45 for the work.
