Figured I'd offer this up here first.

All purchased from Georg at Valley Hybrids for an original plan of adding disc brakes and power steering to mine, that's since been abandoned in an effort to keep it original.

Purchased and received last week.

Bearings in zip lock bags, as I received from Georg, not pictured.

All I've done is ran through the parts washer.

I have an open book policy regarding classified ads for two reasons.

First, I'm not an expert. What you see is what I know.

Second, my intention isn't to profit, but recoup a portion.

Quote from Georg's email:

"hey chris. thanks for the email and your patience! here's a list of the items i'll be happy to supply for your disc brake conversion:
1) complete disc brake knuckle kit $300
2) knuckle rebuild kit with oem seals and bearings $95
3) complete wheel hub bearing kit OEM $90
4) spindle lock kits $24
5) braided brake line kit $120 ( all 4 lines but will need measurements )

****NO STAINLESS LINES INCLUDED****

shipping for these parts should be around $60 since they're pretty heavy.

I have everything in stock. parts you'll want to get from CDan:

1) pair of oem brake rotors for an FJ60
2) pair of oem loaded reman brake calipers
3) pair of oem c-cips for the inner axles to the birfs and that should do it.

I will of course inspect all the parts and hardware before I ship them to ensure that they're in very good used condition. if there are any issues whatsoever, I will send a replacement part no questions asked."

Second part:

"Hey Chris. Thanks for the reply. The 60TRE kit is $109 which would bring the total to $678."

I have $678 invested in the transaction, $60 of which is shipping, so consider it a starting price of $600 for everything and I'll cover shipping in CONUS, to make the clean and simple.

$600 for all, OBO.

Would separate the 555 TREs only, at this point, for $110 shipped in CONUS.

My Pig has many needs, the most being new components that I can only trade cash for, right now, but one item that is be interested in potentially trading a portion of this total for are the OE Aisin coarse splined hubs that look like this.

To avoid any potential drama, I'd prefer that all communication remain in thread, but if sending a PM, please post exactly that, to establish order and so there's no opportunity for any disgruntlements.

Paypal is preferred. All shipping via UPS or FedEx Ground.

I think I can get you the OE Aisin coarse splined hubs, but I already have the 60 series knuckles...
I'm sure we can figure something out!
Shoot me a PM.

Done.

Will trade cash for hubs, too.

Will trade all of the components here for anything I need, but that list is a definitive one.

Gift card for Lowe Toyota is second best to cash.

Haha.

Sounds good, here they are: (sorry not the best, I can get pictures over the weekend, I can even take them off this weekend)

So have sourced the hubs.

Going to post up in general Classifieds cause my Pig is HUNGRY and I don't want to stock any item commonly found and need all the room I can get.

Separate ad there, but will leave this up for potential trades or best offers scenarios amongst family.

Dude, what are you doing? Am I correct in assuming you are ditching disk brakes in favor of stock drums? Ok, they will stop fine if properly adjusted ... but you gotta keep at that a lot! This is your pig you ain't selling, nobody is going to ding you for Toyota disks anyway ... just saying.

My $.02 ... I've only owned about a dozen of these old trucks :-(

Man, I feel like a dog that shat on the rug.

I know it's illogical but my goal, plans, heart is in restoring to a OE form, whatever that may be. I can't pinpoint the exact reason why, but I know better than to fight it.

I can see a finished product that's similar to the day it rolled off the boat and see "quality" (in a Phaedrus voice) in it being as unmolested and unchanged, as possible.

You have ten, I have two, so I'm bound to err....BUT I'm going to catch up to you and can promise the next Pig won't be hindered by the same OE bounds as this one appears to all, to be.

If anything, the level of dedication to maintaining OE form is proven with no AC. Hahaha.
