Front diff has been leaking oil for about a week and a half at the seal. I call the local dealer for the seal, nut and a diff gasket (future maint.)

So I take off the shaft and flange nut and flange and replace the seal. After cleaning the flange I run my finger around were the seal sits and notice a wear ring.

Not having a new flange I'm force to use the old one which leads to the questions:

Anyone have the same issue?
Did the diff leak after the new seal?

I know what I want to do, replace the flange, but if I don't have to even better.

Thanks,

I replaced mine and it still leaked. I replaced the flange and put a little RV sealant on the threads to make sure it didn't leak past the threads.
Check your breather, if its plugged, it could cause a leak at the flange.

FWIW, what I have done is install new seals to a different depth. Either not as far in, or further in. This way the seal rubs in a different place and not in the original grove.
