Well that was lots of fun, lots of grinding to get old engine mounts off. Some people should not be allowed to weld. I can't believe they actually held the motor in there.

I feel your pain. I had to cut so much off my frame and thought the same thing. Then I welded more to it. What I did will not be as easy to remove if at all. If I ever sell it the new owner is going to have to like what I did.

I hate all that grinding cutting that goes with cutting old brackets off. Nice work yours looks good.

Back is going to need a fair amount of trimming. There is no weight on the back with the jackstands under frame, I expect it to come down a couple of inches

Front mock up, the Tahoe springs are so long I am having a hard time pushing front axle forward. I was hoping to get it forward 3", but then the springs will stick out way to far up front. Going to settle for 1" forward and move the perches to get another inch.
Thoughts? By the way mocking this up by yourself sucks, it's definitely a lot easier with another person to get measurements

I have the same ubolt plates, I plan on using the aft hole to move the axle a little more forward

Got the front perches tacked in, and after checking clearances I have decided to move them out 1" further. They are to close at the pumpkin. Sucks because they look really good where they are

Little bit of Tig, little bit of Mig, some grinding and hoping to have front perches back in by dinner time

Ready to tack in, calling it a night. Want to make sure they are all still square and then I will burn them in.

Cool build. I'm looking at the Liquid Iron sliders and Tahoe springs for one of my builds. Curious on how you determined placement of the perches and sliders. Did you tack them in and see where they sat on it's own weight?

They are super easy to determine. Just measure the length of the spring from eye to eye along the arch of the spring and that will be your maximum distance. Add a little to that for safety. Axle will normally lined up around 27-28 inches from the fixed perch point
