What the heck is wrong with this country?!? This is political correctness gone terribly terribly wrong. Is there a news story with this?

Not to get all soapboxy but if us rational folks don't stop letting this political pandering write the narrative then we gonna be in big trouble.

Will see what we can throw his way. Prayers and best wishes for he and his family.

I have a friend in need if anyone can help out. He lost his job as a
Police Sgt over a picture of himself on Facebook because he had on a pair of shorts that had a confederate flag on them. 18 year career ended over a picture. Thanks.

Did he lose his job this week? I would be curious as to the timeline and the story about this. It appears that the Gofundme account was just set up yesterday so I am assuming it happened this week.
Hopefully with 18 years' experience he will find somehting else soon. This is a crazy world we live in!

I found an article about this and the only thing I can't seem to come up with is when the picture was actually originally posted. As bad as I hate to say it, and I believe that this PC run is way out of hand, but if he posted the picture in the last week then I think it was a bad move given the already elevated circumstances especially since he is in the public eye, (gas on the fire so to speak) if someone dug it up and it just went viral then I think that it is a bad move on his Chiefs part and he should appeal for sure.

Unless the pic was taken after the state government decided to remove the confederate flag then he should be in the clear.

That said, he apparently needs a lesson on how to treat and display a flag, unless he's making a statement that the First Amendment would protect.

The Police Chief Eddie Driggers should be fired so he can have time to go home and grow a pair. Thats BS.
