I've got a rust free frame in Wyoming for $350. Came from a 5/84 FJ60 that was recently rolled. Probably wouldn't even need to paint it. Factory paint is still great. It's in the F/S section with pics. Way easier than patching and will give you a better finished product.

Toyrod, that is a nice looking frame.

The only thing that mine has is the rust below the channels.

60 - sorry for hijacking your frame thread.

and thanks a ton for all your input and advice.

5280 Hawk, what did you eventually do to the frame.... ?? I'm debating your method right now... Only thing I'm waiting for is the weather to warm.

As a winter project, I need to replace the rear C channels in my 60 frame. I plan on doing this with the body on. I plan to remove the gas tank because I dont want to be grinding and welding that near the tank. Has anyone else done this the hard way? Like Project 60's rebuild, most seem to have done this with the body off. Also, I think I want to put in new channel rather than box the rear section. Anyone know what size channel I need to find?
Any advice and experience appreciated.
