today I started to strip parts of my cruiser so I could box in a stock frame.

Would replace the whole thing but got the frame for the best price (free) so iam

going to work with what I got. I have about four feet of the frame, also

going back to a stock steering setup( steering box and center arm).

I what to know if any one has any input or advice for boxing in the frame. For

Example materials needed, anything you would add to it, any mods, make it

shorter, this is a straight offroad fj. The frame is ok from the stock tower all

the way back to the rear. iam having a professional welder look at it on

Saturday to give me my options and so I can get it ready for him to weld. i

don’t think iam that good with a welder yet, want it stronger and clean.

Thanks, anything experience is welcome.

nothing

3/16" mild steel to box in areas that need strength...rear spring hangers, etc.

Weld the frame together from front to rear.

Good luck!
