What's the intended use and extra weight on your truck?

I have a small lift on my truck with only a little extra weight above and beyond stock. I love the shocks for my DD use and would buy them again. If you have a lot of extra weight or tow, some feel they are too soft

2.0 is on the light side for a modded 100. Properly tuned 2.5 would be a better match for a modded 100 (i.e. heavier; bumpers, sliders, belly skids, drawers, etc.) and/or blasting down miles of washboard/rough gravel roads.

I'm in the process of adding a drawer setup bumpers winch sliders (The Works). So it sounds like I need to step up to Profenders or something comparable.

I noticed FOX offers the 2.0s in extended length for the 100. I'm interested in feedback, opinions or experience.

Where do you see these? They only show one length on the website for the 100.

I have them on my Jeep jk 4dr but was not that impressed IMO ...

Just FYI, those extended length part numbers are for the 105 Land Cruiser. Obviously the fronts will not work on the 100 IFS, but maybe the extended rears will work...

Also, it seems that the rear shocks on the 100 and 200 series LC may be interchangeable. If so, might be able to use the rear Fox 2.5 Reservoir shock for the 200 Series.

If your like some on here, and by that I mean budget conscious, I think they are a viable option. That said, know your end state for intended usage. There's a bunch of info on here on issues people had with them initially. After researching for an extended period of time, and actually being able easily get a hold of them over the phone, to speak with one of the team leads for development of the shock with questions about my usage, I determined I'm comfortable with giving them a shot.

I am not a individual the can justify spending $1,000.00 plus on shocks for my dd/family expedition rig that is 15 years old.

I'm such a fan of bilstein's 5100 and up series shocks I almost took my hypertherm powermax 600 plasma to factory mounts and made different ones to use their 5125's or 5165(now discontinued).

My 2.0's should be here in a few weeks when I get back from South Africa.

The bilstein 4600's that came on my truck when I bought it last year are truly not valved correctly for the added weight of 180lbs of winch and bracketry I have on the front, light weight sliders, gear and camping stuff if you leave the pavement, which I do on a daily basis for a few miles running through the desert on washboarded sand trails to avoid traffic of the greater northern jaurez area(hell Paso)

I recently switched from Radflo 2.5's to Fox 2.0's. They are much softer, but since I have bigger rear bump stops (timbren) I'm hoping they will save me on the big hits. Around town the ride is much more comfortable. Off road is to be determined.

Out of curiosity, why the down size?

It's well documented my problems with Radflo's over the past couple of years. This was the straw the broke the camels back.

@SanDiegoCruiser Would that not be caused by a failure of the bushing in the upper shock mount? From the view in the photo it looks like the shock mount didn't have enough space between it and the shock shaft. I hope that makes sense...

I sheared off a Radflo in Moab last year on the same top shaft in the rear. Not sure if it's just coincidence or not, but it didn't make me very happy. Radflo did replace the shock and I have since sold the truck so I'm not concerned with the shock any longer. Needless to say, next time I feel like dumping a ton of money in shocks, it won't be this brand.

Did you go with out of the box or special order specs? I am leaning towards the fox 2.0s when I need shocks but with rear bumper and big ass aux tank worried for the rear.

Fox told me that the 2.0 shocks for the rear of the 200 series are a firmer valve spec and may be better suited for a heavier 100 series. Part # 985-24-124

Looks like the incorrect top mount for that model # for the 100 Series..
