That ride is in great shape!!!

Wow!

Great find!

by the way are the rectangular plastic handles above the door panels visible in the last shot stock? I figured not so I left them. all 4 are intact if stock.

anyway, moving onto the "money shots". Here is the first set of parts removed. from 12 o'clock around we have the ashtray in the back of front seat, toyopet assembly with gasket, instrument bezel, dash ashtray, front indicator lenses, one rear reflector disc (all say koito made in japan), glove box grab bar and the glove box in the middle.

please tell me what is crap !!

moving along, we have the dome light, vent windows, then the rear seat scissor and pin hinges, plus the receiver things that are in the back of the upper part of the rear seat and click into the piece on the wall of the truck (the rubber is partly perished on these last parts, but the metal is good). finally what I think was the transfer case shift knob. not really sure to be honest.
partventwin.jpg

finally there is the sun visors, window handles, one interior door handle (the rest are still stuck to truck), another shot of the dome light (oops), windshield wiper (there is another arm only matching stuck to truck), and outer door handle, and the throttle pedal.

edit: oops i missed the ice rink shaped grommets that matt asked for and the mystery crhome disc I found int he truckl which may not be oem (no markings)

BTW, this truck had no keyed locks except at the ignition and the tailgate. Is that normal? there seemed to be no way to lock the doors unless you maybe pushed the handle a certain direction and if you did, you would have to get in through the tailgate ??
partvisor.jpg

None of that stuff is junk, you will be shipping all of that to someone I'm sure of it ;)

I see something I asked for in every pic.....1st pic, rear tailgate handle, 2nd, you have all the rear seat hardware I need. 3rd pic.....door, window handles and trim rings, plastic inserts and wiper arm.

I was totally serious about taking care of you on some tools, you deserve it.....

You also have a PM.

Thanks, Matt

I could not see a vin on this truck but then i do not know where to look. I know you guys work wonders but you cannot see in the photo but there is nothing much under this truck anymore. i do not think even buckroseau could save this thing.

it is on an island that takes 6 hours from vancouver to reach including a water taxi. not an easy commute for those wanting to check it out, but if someone wants to come up while I am up, send me a pm.

I'm not going to claim any of that stuff... but hats off to your good cruiser deed... You are giving away over $500 worth of stuff... Even though I take none, let me know when your in Seattle... beers on me.

I'll let Mike make the call. Although a US FJ45LV might have not come with one, a FJ35 would have (dats da reason I want it).

Don't worry about the heater. All the other parts you mentioned would be sweet. If, and only if you wanted to, any other little stuff that would fit in a small box would be really cool.

If I had to choose only one part. I would want the triangle shaped B-pillar light.
Gene aka Land Cruiser Junky and I will have to battle :D for the map light/room switch. Rick was going to send me some knobs, hopefully there is another one in there. I think FJ45swb and lpb trucks have a room switch as well.

The square shaped things above the door panels are correct for 66/67

Thank you for doing this, let me know what you need. I can Paypal you some funds.

this is the B-pillar dome light (I can see the little guy in your pic :) ):

Both vent window soft metal bits please and YES I did PM you since I'll be up in the summer anyways! I'll gladly help pull stuff when I'm up, heck I'll do it alone if necessary!

while this doesn't quite corospond with my model year lv I need something to start with. at worst case I will take it to hold onto incase someone else needs it later down the road. i kow its going to be a pain to get out so many stickers will head your way:)

not sure if the drivers side tail light is spoken for I don't need the lense just the housing and wiring for it. is any of the inside spare tire carrier left? its a big wing nut and bolt? and the filler neck and gas cap.
would love those things. what is your address?
thanks a bunch Jason

I don't see where anyone spoke up for it.

I would like the mirror arm assembly on the passanger side fender.

Thanks in advance!!!!

Gene or Mike-

Let me know if you need the room light switch. I may have a couple lying around.

ok well I guess it is a 66 or 67 then. This is progress :D

-tree root the dome light is yours as is said. it matches the one in your photo
-cruiser guy the soft metal is yours. are the door pulls the ones you want? if not, how about you Matt I think you have a '65?
-the heater is now up for grabs
-Matt bagged the rear taillight assemblies
-Ground up gets the PS mirror assembly
-gas filler neck is there but can't speak to condition
-the back is full of old vacuum radio tube parts and I couldn't get the tailgate open to clean it out so anything could be under there. i'll look for the spare tire stuff and anything else next time

;) , and I would like to trade parts for very modest amounts of pb blaster, por-15, and auto-rx, none of which I can get in Canada. ;) .
Semlin, I don't know about pb blaster or auto-rx, but I do know of a website that claims to ship POR 15 to Canada:

http://www.prp-porstore.com/index.html

In fact, I'd be happy to assist you in getting anything that is unavailable to you in Canada. I can get it here and ship it to you. This is a cool thing you are doing here. If I can send a little payback your way, let me know.

The door pulls are what I'm looking for as well! Anything I can bring from down south here? I WILL be in Vancouver in June.

If you are heading back for more parts, I would appreciate one more piece.

A pic is the best thing i can provide.

Thanks,

Dave

Oh, snap! I didn't even see that Marc! Gene is going to be pissed :D

warrior, the rear upper tailgate was virtually dust but that part might be there.

A couple of people have commented on my supposed generosity here. just to set the record straight, I do not own the truck and don't feel right taking money for parts I don't own plus I really like the idea of helping some of you guys bring your trucks back to life. A 45LV is a work of art in my mind, so I'm just pitching in on worthwhile projects. I also spoke to a friend of the land owner and got a "fill your boots" to strip the truck on the basis I am giving the parts to someone restoring the truck. I think if the land owner thought i was getting money it might be a different story. the "small" compensation I asked for is just to compensate me a little for my time as it took more of that than i expected and it was premium vacation time ;) .

also, just an idea here, but another option for this truck is to get it off the island and then have someone flatbed it to vancouver. I would guess it could be picked up by a local and barged off the island for maybe $300 and at that point someone could grab it with a uhaul trailer. if i did that the land owner might ask for some cash for it but i would think $100 would cover that. i could help with the logistics as far as getting it off the island but after that i do not have a place in town to store it and i don't know if it would get over the border whole with no papers.
