Last minute change in plans...something came up I can't avoid.

The trash load was light, good grub by BMAN and crew combined with a very cool area made for a great day! A little warm in the morning, a light shower in the afternoon cooled things off. A couple of snaps of the creek and climbing out of the canyon in a light sprinkle.

They have put up some, IMHO much needed, signs and a bunch of pota-heads, ether that is working or someone beat us to the trash. I would like to think that people are taking care of public places, but don't have much faith in that!

Next time up I will hafta stop and read that sign. I would swear that I had read in the past that there are no native fish to fossil creek and that the fish that are present were all imported.

Melissa and the kids, along with myself, had an outstanding time! The cause was good, the food was good and the company was even better. I want to give special thanks to Phil, Josh and Rob for chasing me home and hanging on the side of the hiway for an hour or two today. The never leave a man behind attitude of this group never ceases to amaze me.

After a little investigation this afternoon it seems that I have a MAJOR waterflow issue. I will be attempting to resolve this in the next few day and will report back with my findings. Thanks again for another great family and friends weekend!

Good Times were had by me and my brood of younguns this trip! Thanks to all who showed, picked trash and had a healthy appetite (thanks BMAN for the cooking duty)!
Also big thanks to Kevin for putting it all together....and the great SWAG from the raffle!

Pics to come later...

EDIT: Had to add this pic...it was mandatory!

...

True in the past, now a big effort has been made to reintroduce natives and they are pretty protective of them. I sat and watched fish for awhile and didn't see any of the sunfish, channel cats, etc that were there, only native types. The ranger that we talked to said they prefer zero fishing (with the exception of crayfish) until the newbes are well established.

Thanks Josh!

I'm sure everyone appreciates me bringing the sexy back to this board.. That water was COLD! If I get the cooling isues squared away in the next couple weeks, we need to make another trip up there. Melissa and the kids are already talking about the next time...

Thanks Kevin, great pics and signs (explains my native fish type question). My back up camera took fuzzy pics and not worthy of posting :o

I was glad to hear from several people that this year was one of the least trashed years in recent memory. That is a great sign!!

The CSC knows how to put on a great outing with great food and great people. I enjoyed everyones company, not to mention the food, beer, and laughs around the campfire. :D

Looking forward to the next outing...

my boy and I had a great time last weekend. Great bunch of guys, good food and beer. Thanks for putting the raffle together, got a shovel and a tow strap, neither one did I have before in my truck. I made the mistake of letting Brody and Brittan's boy Porter play in my truck during the rain, whooo, there was mud everywhere. They had fun though. Looking forward to the next get-together. When are we going wheelin next? Heres a couple pictures I took.

Glad to help...er watch!:whoops:

There's nothing amazing about it, we are all just scoring points for the day when it's our junk that's broken.:meh::cheers:

That's what I mean. The "we're just scoring points" thing is exactly what I'm talking about. There's not a person in this club that I know of who would leave ya sittin on the side of the road (except that bastard Murf) on any given day. It was pretty warm out there and you guys hung with me just making sure we made it. Phil was about to do the camping gear shuffle in his rig to load up my family and take them all the way to my place in the comfort of an air conditioned rig, no questions asked. I've been witness to an uncountable amount of selfless acts among the members of this club and I want to point it out. I've watched club members lay under broken Jeeps in the pouring rain, upright flopped vehicles, drive countless miles to recover stuck vehicles from the middle of nowhere, and never with one single iota of want. Never have I seen a member ask for anything in return for their services except for the promise that the receiving party pay it forward. These actions move me and make me beam with pride that I am a member of this club.

Yeah we're a bunch of beer swillin crap talkin TLC junkies that put on a great show of manliness and swagger, but the reality is that I know not a man among us who doesn't have a heart of gold.

Just wanted to point it out... that's all.

With that said fix your POS :flipoff2:

Workin on it tonight. Got the "correct" pump last night. Apparently some a$$hole incorrectly relabeled every pump at the warehouse and checker no longer has a reverse rotation pump available... WORLDWIDE!!! Dumbasses!!!

Got one from VatoZone last night and will be trying it out tonight after I remove the wrong one that Pecker gave me.

Dang, Ill never live it down...figured someone was on potty break. I was still trying to catch up to the non-existent group that left ahead of me from the Baja at 7am but found out later many of our group stayed up late the night before  lol

BTW, what CB channel does the group usually use for future reference?

Bman, I hope the kids and wife have stopped calling me names by now....:D

"bastid murf"

Usually default to 4, but there are exceptions, like whatever channel we were using on the last run (the too lazy to change the channel syndrome) or the ever popular whatever channel Murf isn't on selection!:hillbilly:

LOL... that's right Benedict... never gonna live it down. That just happen with this group. How do you say Murf in French?
