Did any of you need to add a trim pack to one side or the other? I'm going to be installing them in a few weeks and want to be prepared. Thanks!

My 863s have been installed for a year or so already. Stock rear bumper so far, although I have ~200lbs of gear in the back at all times.

No trim packs or anything else added to mine. Sits level (side to side)... the rear BIOR should lessen my current rake (will be here in a few weeks??)

Mine is shipping out monday:D:flipoff2: but I opted for no powdercoat because I will get it powdercoated with my current sliders and my dd's wheels

thanks gents

I am running mine without trim packs. I have noticed that it is hard to get accurate wheel to fender measurements as mine fluctuate by a 1/2 inch or so on any given surface. The weight of whatever fuel you have in your tank also muddles these measurements. I don't think there is enough of a true lean to justify spacers at this point.

that's what I figure. I'm ordering some new rubber spring insulator thingys and was wondering if I needed to order a trim packer as well. I guess I won't worry about it! good, because the trim pack is like $50...

Thanks!

I have the 863's and frankly don't like them...unless I am pulling the trailer. Very stink bug looking and a rough ride even with a BIOR bumper with spare and high lift, fridge, and a set of drawers. Just too much rake without more weight on the truck IMHO.

Hmmm... I have 863's i've been saving until i put my rear bumper on too but i've also been wondering if I will still have enough weight for them to ride as nice as my 865's with 1" trim packs... My 100 rides pretty nice right now... I was going to put the 863's in this weekend but maybe ill hold off until after i check out the stance and ride with my current setup...

no trim packs

I like the ride. Course I have a rear bumper and rear drawers

What's a good shock to go with on the 863's? I'd like to do the L's but I don't have any spare parts to make that happen.

N74L's bolt up with no mods. I used the 80 series hardware and haven't had any issues. The L's were the best mod I've done recently.

I am running the 6000 series OME shocks that came with the Slee kit. Not sure how that compares to the L's for the 80

So I finally got around to putting in my 863's. I went from OEM springs with 30mm spacer to 863s. I have the bior high clearance bumper. I'm not sure why people think they're too stiff... It feels so much better than the poor stock springs trying to carry all that weight. My measurements hub to fender are right around 21" in the front and a tad over 22" in the rear. Perfect!

My passenger side sits a good half inch lower and that was with the 860s and 863s. I'm going to install trim packs on the passenger side to make up for it

Which reminds me, I have to fix the stinkbug again...Petrotk40, I agree with you that the 863's have a better ride! But I think not everyone likes the stiffness because they are in love with the stock comfort

I came from a sports car to the cruiser, so maybe that's my reasoning :)

and the stock comfort was gone with all that weight, very jarring and unpleasant. Uncontrolled is probably the best adjective.
