Sounds like a good frame/roller donor candidate. No such thing as a cheap 60 or 80 any more for the most part. By the time you get done just base lining a truck like the one advertised you are right up there with the prices of rigs that are already running and driving. It's a good deal if you want to piddle on it over time and throw $$$ as you go rather than all at once.

I was curious so sent him an email and he sent pics.

I spoke with the owner, mechanic was not sure but thinks it might be the igniter. I told him I would not be over $1K and he passed, has several people coming to look. I told him he could use me as a last resort as I am not interested in the drive line.

I always thought this would be a good start for an off road trailer build. Mount onto a metal frame and axle for height.

That 97 with the turbo has been on and off CL a couple times. I spoke with the owner, told me it ran great until it threw a rod. :) Seems 7lbs was too much boost for an old engine. Too much for a truck with a blown motor.

O yeah that's going to sit for a while.

He was a nice guy, just funny in how he thought the turbo was great, yada yada. It threw a rod through the side of the block!

Hey all, just to let you know, Marshall has my 1967 Stout at Trollhole's on consignment and it is for sale. Marshall has made it better than ever and can work with you on a fair price. I used the truck for hauling stuff from Lowe's and to the dump, and was constantly being stopped (read here accosted) by folks in the parking lot (a little too much attention for me, a guy who tries to fly under the radar.)

Reason for selling? The cab is a little too small for a linebacker, too much attention, and I just ordered this vehicle from Toyota:

Damn you and that scout...it keeps coming up!! How tall are you? I am tall too and worried about fitting. I wager my wife would let me sell her 71 Fiat if I got something like that!

It's not the height that is an issue (I'm 6'2" and there is plenty of extra head room). The problem is I'm 220 with gorilla arms (36" sleeves, 48" chest) and the steering wheel is a real "gut check" for me.

Hey, any of you guys got any brown fender flares in your stash? Looking for Front DS specifically.

I'm looking to replace the FJ40 I sold 7 years ago. I would say it was a mistake but it helped get my girls through college. I would appreciate any leads. I prefer a "75" or newer. This is to be a project not a true restoration. I have set up alerts on CL. EBAY, and Google. Everything I get so far is on the other side of the country or ridiculously priced. Thanks in advance.
