77' 40 third member needed

I need a third member for a 77 FJ40. I live in auburn but I'm from birmingham area so visit there sometimes. Anybody around here have one? I need to get my junk back on the road, so I can get it down to auburn. I anyone in auburn can find one :meh: landspeeder :meh: I'll get us a case of :beer:. I actually live about two minutes way from you in eagles landing. I have seen your 80 there.

Got the MTR 40" tires on FJC steelies for sale.
They're worn GOOD. and grooved... for trail only.

$400 for the set. I'd consider selling them individually and keeping one...

I'll be in bham on Thursday evening is the only time I can meet you.

E, I'm interested in the rims if you're willing to split. Not sure how we can get them from BHam to Memphis, but hopefully Mudship can make that happen.

I BOUGHT THIS VECHICLE AROUND A YEAR AGO TO FIX UP MYSELF, BUT CAN'T SEEM TO FIND TIME. SOMEONE WILL GET THIS RARE FIND, HUNTER, OFF ROADER, ROCK CLIMBER, ETC. FOR IT IS ONE OF THE MOST SOTH AFTER OFF ROAD VECHICLE.

Wanted to Buy FJ40 - Central Alabama

Looking to buy an FJ40 (~1969 and up) in or around central Alabama. Prefer one that is driveable but still needs the finishing touches. Any leads are appreciated.

1993 accord daily driver 175k miles $1000 obo

I drive this to fultondale every day,trying to put together some cash for a tow rig. Very clean and it has been in our family since new but has some issues...ps leak, exhaust leak, transmission has to warm up some days before it shifts itself.

It's very rare to find a cruiser in which I see no potential...but I don't know about this one.

I am looking for a little car to help get my 80 off the road some. How bad is the transmission? With the exhaust leak does that affect your mpg? Or is it just loud?

the transmission works most days and is better when it is cold outside. I usually just have to manually shift it for the first few minutes. I have some ideas about what is causing it just don't want to put any work into the car - pretty common issue with these. It is going into limp mode so when it doesn't shift it manually goes 1-3 or 2-4. I have already replaced the TCU with a used one which fixed it for a few months, but now it is back.

exhaust leak is just loud - only time I measured MPG it was 27 MPG mixed driving. I know where that leak is too - it is on the bottom of a resonator/muffler. I put some exhaust tape on it last year to see if that was the only leak and it was dead quiet for a few miles until the tape came off. I pm'd you my office number, call me if you can.

I had my 92 board completely resoldered and it fixed it for good. That was a benefit of working at a place that had professional solderers at the time. No joke!
But yeah, they basically just retouched all the points. Very common issue with this model and age Honda.

yep - I resoldered the original and it worked for a very short time. I think something is sticking (solenoids maybe?) that is causing the boards to burn up. there is a very detailed writeup on how to check it on the internet - it's easier for me to just shift it when I need to. I would rather spend wrenching time on the lc
