Let me know if you need any help in Tucson... I've bought two and would say your price is FAR MORE then fair. There are many rigs NOT SELLING for more then that but the ones that do sell are getting about what you wanna spend. I would consider kicking the miles up to 120K as that'll help you a lot! I bought one 96 locked 105k on Craigslist in Denver for $10,800 and another 95 locked with 195K for $5,000 on the dot from eBay.. Time is well on your side here so don't rush. Remember, there isn't a soul in the Country getting even close to what they want for their Cruisers.. I would also take advantage of people that aren't Cruiser nuts as either they're selling way too low or Cruiser people want an arm and a leg! Remember those lockers are only free if you're buying from somebody who didn't need them or even know they had em.

Check mine surplus auctions, they are usually open to the public.

crazy euro spec cruiser

That things worth mad money!
Just hold onto it the right guy/gal will come along.
Just don't let something in that sweet condition go for less than 10k!

Is the PA for Pennsylvania? If so what part? Spotted a decent 89 in eastern PA. Let me know, and I will give you the location. Peace

Want to trade?

I have a 1985 FJ60 with 135K on the odometer. Its a real clean 60, I have just had the brakes redone, the knuckles rebuilt and a compression check done and all is well. Its a very reliable cruiser. The tires are 33x10.50 BFG AT KO and have about 3k on them. I really want a FJ40 but would entertain trades for other things. The truck is located in Loveland Colorado. Let me know....

It is an auotmatic, it has 113,000 miles on it, and appears to be in decent shape. The usual rust around the fenders, not to bad. The seller is asking $4500, book value has it at around $2200. I don't know if these trucks sell above book because of their popularity or not but I figured you could get it for around $3200. I did not drive it or talk to the seller, I stopped and looked at it for 2 minutes last Saturday. It's located on Route 202 just north of Doylestown at the intersection of route 313. There is a group of small cottages on the corner, and it is in the front of those. Also there is a Luke Oil being built across the road, just to give you another landmark. Let me know what you think if you go and check it out. Sorry I did not get a phone number. Later...

Thank you guys. I'm a bit puzzled by prices asked in the Southwest compared to the ones in the Northeast, quite dramatically lower: any reason for that? And on eBay, southwestern LCs for sale are really scarce. As far as the mileage goes, I'd be wary about putting $10k on a 120,000+ mile rig, even if 80s are said to be reliable, as I also have to save a bit to keep it running, ouch, on gas!

I have a 88 on the next page. For what I'm askin' you can swap in a std and have the best of both worlds.

No frame/ floor rot. Just the wells and hatch.

Call him and talk. I am only spreading the word but he told me he has more than that in it. I didn't make him an offer but based on the info he shared if it only took $8K to change hands it would be in my garage and not even be for sale.
