Just curious: Why can't you swap out the suspension?
My new truck has a shackle reversal, as I understand it, the OME would lift the front end an additional 2.5-3 inches.
Please send me pics. I have a buddy that is in Iraq right now that told to me to find him a cruiser. I will pass them on to him and see what he says. Oh how I love to spend other people's money.

1985 Bj70 For Sale
FOR SALE:
1985 Landcruiser BJ70. 5 spd, 3.5" old man emu lift, 33" BFG ATs, new batteries, new OEM rad, new brakes, brake cylinders and master, 391,000 km, recent OEM muffler and exhaust, recent OEM clutch, newly rebuilt knuckles, well maintained. Aircared. As far as the body, it does have some localized rust around the rear fenders that can be seen in the last picture, but the majority of the body is in good shape. The frame is excellent. I will sell for $5000 CAN ($4000 US) OBO. Email me at lerchc@zarya.org and I can provide more pictures if interested. The truck is located in Victoria BC, Canada.

1970 FJ40 F/S in SoCal
I bought this 1970 last summer with no specific plans. Tub is straight and has very minimal rust [one spot in driver's side rocker panel. No powertrain. Rollcage has been spoken for [thank you Jeffrey Holdstock]. Will post on Ebay soon unless I here from someone here.

Included are the stock steering box, both driveshafts and the radiator. I already have someone interested in the windshield frame and glass if I decide to part it, but I would prefer to sell complete to someone looking for a nice project.

Leather interior, full electric options for year. Factory lockers. Truck runs great, no problems. I recently had both axles re-built, with all new bearings, seals, etc. I have photos, can email to anyone interested. Willing to help with delivery. Asking $8,000, and I'm motivated to sell! I'm transferring to Virginia for 2 years and I need space to store stuff here. My FJ40 has to go.
So here's the description:
4 wheel disc brakes:
- all new calipers, rotors, pads in the last 1000 miles
- rear caddy e-brake
Ford 302, edelbrock torquer intake, holley 2di tbi fuel injection + closed loop o2 sensor but not installed and spare fuel pump
DUI electronic 1 wire distritbuter (coil in the cap)
Ford T18 truck tranny 6.32:1 1st gear
Dana 18 transfer case, just rebuilt
Stock front and rear axles, both rebuilt in the last 1000 miles.
4.88 diff gears with new bearings front and rear within the last 1000miles
welded spider gears in the rear - easy to change out if you want open or a different locker.
ARB in the front with caddy air pump
Longfields
SOA with rear FJ55 springs and flipped front springs with shackle reversal.
Sag power steering.
Have bikini and hard top. Converted the back to split lower doors instead of ambulance doors.
$3000 - if I don't sell it within a few days it's going on ebay.
The caddy pump has some fittings that need to be re-taped the stuff I used was liquid permetex and it didn't work very well. Has some rust but not bad at all in the usual places. Some rock dents from wheeling. Front passenger blinker is busted but I have a pair of spares waiting to go on. Same for the rear marker light, broke but I have spares.
36" irok bias plys on 15x8 3.5" bs wheels with 1 run on them
2" wheel spacers
High steer with HD tie rod and drag link.
I'll see what I've got in the way of fairly recent pics.
