1996 Toyota Land Cruiser FZJ-80 For Sale
I am the original and only owner of this 1996 Toyota Land Cruiser that has at least $20,000 worth of customization, which is listed below.
Year: 1996
Make: Toyota
Model: Land Cruiser
Mileage: 161,750
Transmission: Automatic
Engine: 6 - Cyl. 4.5 L
Exterior Color: Black Rubber
Interior Color: Grey
Body Style: 4 Dr Utility
Title Status: Clear
Maintenance My Land Cruiser has had very detailed maintenance as noted in my log book which I will pass on to the purchaser, and can be further documented by Land Cruiser Specialist of Austin, more specifically Edwin at
lcspec@sbcglobal.net, oil changed every 3K, regular lubes, gear oil changed every 10K, and still runs as good as the day I bought it brand new. I have NEVER had a problem with anything mechanical on this vehicle drive train and it literally runs like new. The engine, transmission, transfer case, and the entire drive train is as solid as can. Recently the front and rear axles have had new rotors, bearings, seals, breaks, emergency break put in, basically you have all new internal parts for both front and back axles and I did this just because I take care of my baby.
Vehicle Coating The entire vehicle is covered in a special coating that is used to coat the inside of Toxic Waste drums and is like hard rubber and NOT just Rhino Liner (Rhino Liner can become brittle and crack). The coating on this vehicle is between 1/8th -1/4 inch thick, fire resistant, rust proof, and gasoline will not even eat through it, is scratch resistant, easy to spray off and clean, and is one of the best things I ever did to this truck. The person that coated this vehicle for me sanded all the paint off, took all the emblems off, high pressure heat sprayed this material on, remounted the emblems, and it looks like this vehicle came stock like this. I got this done around 2 years ago and it has been like body armor ever since. It is one of the items that make this Land Cruiser one of a kind.
Interior The interior is in basically almost new condition with no cracks in the dash or door or column or anything. It has gray leather interior that is in almost new condition except for the drivers seat which has wear on where the driver (me) has been getting in and out of the vehicle. The interior is very clean and in excellent condition and did not spend a lot of time taking pictures because I will give a guarantee that the interior is in excellent shame with all leather in new condition including the third row seats with no cuts, scratches, or stains. If you require pictures to believe me I can take them and put them up but again… I guarantee in writing what I am saying and if you find it in less condition I will replace it, because you won’t… it is in great condition.

4X4 & The Story My Land Cruiser has recently returned from Asia where it was used as my primary vehicle in working as a volunteer teacher and in the creation of a documentary to be submitted in March of 2007 in the Austin Film Festival with a title of “The Living Fields”. It is the story of the need for education for the children of the 30 year war torn country of Cambodia. In truth the money that I will receive from the purchaser of my Land Cruiser will go to fund the editing and post production of the documentary. My Land Cruiser is one of the most capable Toyota Land Cruiser FZJ-80’s in the country if not in the world and has proven it can handle some of the most difficult trails anywhere. I shipped it in the fall of 2005 to Penang Malaysia where I drove it the length of Thailand and into Cambodia where I worked as a volunteer teacher and self funded the making of the documentary. I received the vehicle back into the country just 2 weeks ago, my friend, Edwin, at Land Cruiser Specialist gave a thorough maintenance and got it all ready for it to be sold in perfect working order. Edwin can be contacted at
lcspec@sbcglobal.net regarding the condition of my Land Cruiser or any other work you want done on your vehicle(s). I highly recommend Edwin for any work done on Totyota Land Cruisers. Who ever actually wins the auction of this vehicle will not be disappointed and in fact a very lucky person as this is truly one of a kind. The work and customization took me 3 years to accomplish and was done by VERY EXPERIENCED and serious experts in the area of Toyota Land Cruiser customization. I surely would not be selling it if I had any other way of funding the post production process. There are many scenes in the documentary that include my Land Cruiser and although I do not expect to have massive exposure for the documentary, there will be enough to see your future Land Cruiser in a film and be proud to say that is your Land Cruiser in Cambodia being used to film the documentary.
Known ‘Issues’I will do my best to document all known issues with the vehicle so that there are no surprises. • Vehicle engine and drive train are solid and no known issues either with the engine, transmission, transfer case, gears, axles, wheels, hubs, bearings, seals etc. It is as solid as it gets and you can rest assured I can drive it from Austin to the most northern location on the North American continent that is accessible via a road or some type of dirt path. • ABS – The ABS system has been unplugged in the front axle as I never wanted to have them on when wheeling. One of them needs to be replaced if you want to use them. I never did. • Front Driver Seat Motor for adjusting the location of the seat has recently gone out. It literally went out when I picked the vehicle up from Edwin’s shop and took it to Mister Car Wash to get it detailed for selling. Some bonehead in the car wash somehow got the driver seat stuck in one position and the motor needs to be replaced with a used motor from one from a junk yard. I am not replacing this because I am selling it and the new owner can find the best solution for this. • There is no roof rack installed. Although I have all the stock Toyota Roof Rack parts, it is not installed as I removed it prior to going to Asia and put bolts with silicon into the roof and rubber to make sure it did not leak while in Asia. To remount you just need to take the bolts and silicon out but unfortunately the bolt on the front driver side by the moon roof is stripped and will need to be removed. That is the new owners task if they want to put back on the stock roof rack. • There are some cracks in the driver seat leather… no major tears but some cracks that will eventually tear. I will take a picture and put it up on the eBay website when I list the vehicle for sale. • Vehicle needs State Registration as I am NOT going to get the vehicle registered in my name just to sell it to someone else. • The right or passenger side has some reasonably small dents that are documented in the pictures. Please look at them closely… they are hard to see on the vehicle because of the texture of the vehicle but I don’t want anyone saying I did not mention them. The are not that noticeable and can easily simply be pounded out and because of the bedline will be hard to see. On the driver side on the back quarter panel there are two small dents that are also documented in the pictures so look closely also the top back roof has a small dent and is also in the pictures. All these dents happened prior to the rubber being put on the outside so there are no rusting or bare metal parts on the body or undercarriage. NO RUST
Inspection Anyone may contact me at
robin@webglue.com or 512.563.6346 to schedule a time to come and inspect the vehicle in Austin Texas. I will not drive it anywhere to be inspected, not even in Austin as I do not want to have to pay the registration of the vehicle which is due. Please only contact me if you are serious and not just curious to see the vehicle.
Delivery I will deliver the vehicle anywhere in the continental United States meaning even to Alaska if you will pay for the registration sticker, gas and airline ticket back to Austin Texas. Otherwise you can plan to come and pick it up or have it shipped via some other carrier.
Payment Payment will be accepted via check, cahiers check, or cash and the money will be required to clear the bank prior to the release of the vehicle or signing over of the title. No funny business or delay in the purchase will be tolerated and if you bid on it you better be able to pay for it.
People To Thank: I want to take this opportunity to thank some people and acknowledge their serious contribution in customizing and working on my Land Cruiser.
Edwin Kincaid & Land Cruiser Specialists (512) 563-6346 – Owner and Master Toyota Land Cruiser Mechanic in Austin Texas for all the work he did in customizing and maintenance of my Land Cruiser. Without Edwin and Land Cruiser Specialists my truck would not exist, would not run as well as it does, and would not be worth what it is worth today. I sincerely THANK Edwin for all his help and advice and hard work in keeping me and my vehicle safe. I also recommend Edwin above anyone else when it comes to working on Toyota Land Cruisers.

I highly recommend Jason Kenne and JK Customs

Christo Slee &
www.sleeoffroad.com – Christo was a key and central point for me to gather advice and instruction on how to modify and customize my vehicle to be able to lift it 6 inches and put 35” tires on it and have it run right. If you are thinking about putting 35” tires on a Toyota Land Cruiser 80 Series or above he and his Team are the ones you want to talk to not to mention they have great product at fair prices.
