Another rescue from suburbia. It is a terrible shame that with the wild regions shrinking that these beautiful beasts are being forced into the cities to survive. Rare sightings in and around arena's, movie theaters, and shopping malls cause alarm amongst the public and should only be approached by the most capable handlers.

Haha...

getting rid of 60

I have an '85 FJ-60 that I am getting rid of. I am near St. Louis, MO and if anyone wants it they can have it. I will be calling a place to donate it in the next couple of weeks but would rather have someone who will use the parts have it than have it scrapped.
It has a rough body and the engine would need work. The frame is rusted through behind the forward rear axle drivers side spring perch.
All the running gear is in great shape, I have a spare third member (3.73) and a used spare set of intake and exhaust manifolds. I have a new, never installed set of both the hard and soft hoses for the rear seat heater. They are one set (either send or return not both) as I discovered that a set was only half of what I needed to replace them all and I wasn't going to pay twice what I already had to get the other "set".
The ignition system is a Jacobs Mileage Master, tires are BFG All Terain T/A KO 33x9.50x15. The radiator is an aftermarket SOR aluminum unit.

I had cruisers from the time I started driving but when the frame on this one got too rusty to put it on the road and I had a wife and three kids (about to be four) I garaged it. I need the garage space now.

You can email me at lee.buckalew@hughes.net if you want it.

I will not part it out although I will remove the ignition and could keep the third member easily if someone wanted those. The rear heater tubes and hoses would also be an easy keeper for someone. The third member would need rebuilding but I think that the gears are fine. Needs new crush sleave, pinion bearing, etc.

Let me know if you're interested.
Thanks,
Lee Buckalew

forwarding to a friend thanks for the public offer.

how is the interior and bumpers? Maybe he and I will strip for two other cruisers?

I'll have to check the bumpers. I know that the roof liner has a small tear near the lift hatch. The drivers seat has wear the others are pretty solid. Carpet is not excellent but is not all torn up. Some stains.
I have photos that I can email if you like, they are too large to attach here.
