Specs:
UZ100 1998 Toyota Land Cruiser built by ARCO in Japan.
They say the ARCO built LC's are better built.

Engine 4.7L 2UZFE DHC
186K miles

Options:
Power windows/locks/sunroof/cruise control/power heated mirrors/CD tape/A/C/both seats with lumbar/tilt/ABS/traction control/rear wiper/heated seats/roof rack/tow hitch/3rd row seating.

4X4 HI/LOW range with rear locking DIFF and center DIFF lock.
The (7 pin) DIF LOCK MOD, On this LC... the rear locking DIFF also works in High range.

Serves/new parts:
All fluids were changed around (all synthetic fluids) 20 miles ago.
The radiator/front DIFF/rear DIFF/transfer case/engine oil/brake fluid/power steering fluid/air filter/fuel filter, and fuel injector flush.
The a/c system has had a full service with a new evaporator/expansion valve/absorbent sock/filter kit.
All the front and rear sway bar bushings have been replaced.
The starter has been reconditioned with new contacts sealed up water tight, and higher cranking amps.
New tires (with alignment) with armor in side wall and in the treads.
New lower/and re-greased upper ball joints.
New polyurethane compound power steering rack bushings with.
New front CV drive axles that will handle 1000 horse power with polyurethane compound boots.
All doors lock actuators have been replaced.
The full interior LED kit.
New NGK plugs.
The previous owner had replaced all eight coil-packs around 128K.

The timing belt was inspected and passed the visual feel test a tech and myself. So, no cracking or fraying.
The timing belt was serviced around 125K miles,
I will include with the sale of this LC a new fan bracket/belt ten/idler pulley/harmonic balancer, and full timing belt (timing belt/water pump/crank seal/cam seals/gaskets/hydraulic tensioner/idler bearing etc) service kit.

Comes with an extra ECU/master key-fob. This is a sore issue with this 1998/99's as if the master key-fob was lost one had pay $1200 for a new ECU and a master key at the dealer. This nice to have item.

The Body:
I have gently used this LC as it was designed, so the body has some minor off road bumps particularly the front/rear bumper covers and the front right fender from some trail runs, and there are small scratches from some small tree limbs and shrubs.

The left front fender will be fixed and a new front bumper will be replaced with a new one.

The interior:
The seats are aged, but no rips. All the dash gauges work, no scratches on the gauge bezel, all four door panels have been reconditioned to look new....With new speaker grill fabric cover. Even all the aux power outlets and flip-out cup holders are complete in working order.
The windshield is tinted and (aftermarket windshield) has a crack on the drivers side from the top to the bottom. This might be bothersome for some.
A very good spare (with cable lock) tire, jack, and tool kit are complete.
All power options (but mirrors) work including the ice cold a/c on a 105 degree day here in Mexico.

The bad, the steering rack seeps power steering fluid and a very small oil leak from the front oil pan area. When checking the motor oil and power steering fluid their have been no noticeable loss of fluid that I have seen.
The power mirrors are not working and not sure why.
There is a crack on the passenger side windshield.

My LC is in great solid running/driving condition. Drives very smooth almost like when it was new, even with the more aggressive tires.

Asking $9000
Again: I will include with the sale of this LC a new parts such as fan bracket/belt ten/idler pulley/harmonic balancer, and full timing belt (timing belt/water pump/crank seal/cam seals/gaskets/hydraulic tensioner/idler bearing etc) service kit. Also have some other new parts as well that will come with the sale.

This LC is located in Puerto Vallarta Mexico with U.S.A Texas plates.

This isn't a garage queen, but runs great. All maintenance is up to date.

Not true from what I have read here on mud, Toyota stopped making them their ARACO at the end of 1998.

A simple search would confirm the switchover happened around 2004. Your 98 wasn't the only year.
