Hey, the front fog lights not working even after putting new relay and switch.
My 105 doesn't come with a factory fog light relay I added one yesterday and a new switch but no luck, I checked the fuses, all good.
No click sounds from the relay
where should I start checking? Any grounds in the bumper area ?
Thanks

How sure are you that the part number of the relay you added is correct?

How sure are you that the socket where you plugged the relay in is the correct location?

the part number is correct i got it from the catalogue, socket is also correct

why did you add a new switch?

Well i’m not sure where to go next. I like the factory fog light switch since i’m not aware of that being a failure point or problematic part.

Good job though adding that relay to the correct spot - that was a blind install for me on a 2000 model lc but it worked because I had a diagram.

Here is the pics of the replaced factory switch with new fog light switch

Check the wire connector in your LC has the wires for the fog light switch in the stalk. I installed fog lights using OEM toyota stalk into my 97 4runner but the two wires were missing in the factory wire harness.

Two wirings are missing from my harness. What should I do now? or connect a small wire between 12-16 for RHD models?

Yes, you can get two wires from another toyota wire harness which can be pin into the wire plug. Then you have to supply 12V to one wire from the ignition source and the second wire goes to the fog light relay pin 86. The relay pin 30 is fused direct battery power and pin 87 is what go to turn the fog light bulb. Ground the other wire of the fog light bulb to the frame/body of the vehicle. The Pin Relay 85 must be attached to vehicle body/ground. Good Luck!

You might. That link is for a 4runner (Hilux Surf). When I install accessories, I try not to integrate into the factory wiring, that's what I do, others have different views.
