A question for all the LX450 gurus, is the foam seen in the bottom of the b-pillars on my lx450 original or just something from a PO? Its just below where the driver/passenger seatbelt is bolted in.
I would tend to think a PO stuffed it in but it looked like I was the first to ever take the trim pieces of by the doors (there was pieces of the plastic protective wrap still underneath them) so do you guys have this in your lx450 too?

Yes, OEM.

thanks for the info! Does it make any difference in sound or do most peopel just take it out?

i dont think that it makes much of a difference, i dont remember if i took that out of my truck or not when i had the pillar covers off. taking it out is just going to be personal choice, i wouldnt go out of my way to take it out

Sound and heat transfer due to convective currents. Is it a substantial amount, I doubt it but I left mine in and in fact added some there and in other locations while I have mine apart. Hoping to have it on the road in the next month or so. Very excited!

Good to know that the foam is OEM, that piller is a straight shot into the rocker panels so it kinda makes sense to reduce NVH (road noise) into the cabin??
