Today I officially found out I was accepted into the Army Aviation Branch. I am really excited as this is the real reason I joined the Army and has been what I have been trying for the whole time. The sad part is we will be leaving all of our new freinds behind. I still plan on comming to every ONSC event I can but we are tentatively scheduled to depart for Fort Rucker AL in March 2010 for 12-24 months. After that who knows. We are going to do our very best to make it to the Spring Tide Ride but who knows how that will work out.

Hope to see you all at least one or two more times and I'll be sure to scope out any good trails with the Dixieland Cruisers.

Congratulations Jason! Hate to see you go, but happy for your career move. Hopefully you'll be able to make a good number of events in the future - hell, just hop in one of those whirleybirds and you can be wherever in no time!

I just heard that from your better half. Congrats man. You know your going to forget about all of us in a few days. :p Oh well at least new years will be fun.

Jason, Congrats!!!!! Follow your dreams and enjoy them. we will see you when you can make it.

Jason, congratulations to you sir! I know this is a great move for you personally and professionally and wish you nothing but the best! Like everyone else, I'll miss ya, but look forward to following your exploits and seeing you whenever we get a chance.

Congratulations Jason...as many have said follow your dreams and it sounds like you are now there. Looks like a great career move for you and your wife. We'll keep an open seat for you on all the rides, just let us know when you can make it.

Congrats man. Got a little over 2000 hrs rotary wing time, it's a blast.

You want to fly the crackhawk or the s***hook? The new E and F model 47s are sweet;p

At "The Rock" in Al Taqaddum on '07. 45th Air Ambulance were our neighbors

Have a really good friend that went that way also.

Think she is about the smallest Sh%thook pilot.

You will enjoy going that way, and you will do good at it. Just try to remember the ground forces while you are up there.

Congrats Jason! Hate to see you move, but you need to do something that you will enjoy. You definitely need to get hooked up with some cruiserheads in the area. You should also talk to Jared since he is from the general area. Hopefully you can make it to the meet-n-greet in Feb. too before you head out.

Well you were always bad mouthing NC, now you're leaving us! Good luck on the new job. Sounds like it's going to be a blast. Driving all the cool toys...

Hate to see ya go, but congrats man! It's a great accomplishment. Have fun and I hope to see ya at a couple of events at least.

Well it can never be said enough, but congrats once again Jason.
Preciate the serivce for our country and have fun.

Good for you dude. I know you were ready for a change and this sounds like the perfect opportunity...just wish they had flight school in NC :).

Great News man, I know you were looking forward to it.

Team Jason wont be the same on maintenance day, but well be looking forward to you hopping back in for some trail time with us. You know got a seat with me if needed.

Again, congrats and best of luck!!!

Thank you for all of the kind words. I really love this group. I consider you all some of my best freinds. I always talked Trash about NC but besides the place I actually live in I really like it here. I will miss it for sure.

I don't know what I want to fly yet. I will make up my mind eventually though. And I definitly won't forget the ground troops. Those guys are the reason I'm flying. I can't wait for the day that I get to fly a support mission for my SF brothers. I'll fly anywhere for/with them.

I will be making it to the last couple meetings (At least try my hardest) so I can officially say goodbye...at least for a couple years. The chances of me never being stationed at Bragg again are pretty slim. Who knows I might come right on back.

congrats Jason,
Im happy you will be doing something you like. I am going to 7thG so when they move I wont be too far from you. Eglin has some pretty nice wheeling spots form what I hear.

You in town or you back home?
Just got back for the Sage so finally got some time off. If your around maybe we can drink a few and talk cars.

Congrats my friend! I'm really happy that everything worked out for you guys and you get an opportunity to achieve your goals.
