flasher question

ok boys and girls, you have helped me out so far, so here is the next phase of the issue. i want to replace the old mechanical flasher box (for signals and hazards) with a new one (solid state). when i cross referenced the part numbers, the new one is a small squareish box with connections like the newer round plug in type. can this be used if wired up in the same fashion (with some connector mods of course?) thanks, rob

I have a new small round flasher unit in mine and it works just fine for a quick fix. I got some wire connectors to make a custom addaptor so I could use the original wireing connector without splicing into it. I will leave it that way, but I still have the option to use an oem part later if I wanted to.

me also i ended up just cutting off the oem connector and putting on a corrct one for the new cheaper electronic flashers.
