Hello you guys. I have attached pics of my 1962 FJ40 bottle jack. Can anyone tell me when Toyota changed the lettering on this Jack to the Toyota logo? Also, was this jack the same as Toyota used in the FJ25? Thanks for any info. FJFJFJ

09110-35011 jacks with the TEQ logo are earlier than the 'Toyota Motor' jacks, the logo was used through approx 1970.
Your jack dates from between 1971-76, having the 'Toyota Motor' mark, Phillips screws, and the narrow neck flange.
A 1962 jack would have a 5 digit part number, for example RK30-91100.
The earliest 09110-35011 jack would be from 1963, having the TEQ logo, slotted screws, with the screw on the neck flange opposite the crank.

Hello and thanks for the info. So, just to be sure, before I buy it, the CLOSEST bottle jack to my 1962 would be " slotted " screws with "TEQ logo" and a "10 digit number" IF I was NOT able to find the RK30-91100 under the TEQ logo,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, correct? Thanks for your assist. FJFJFJ

My bottle jack came with my 1962 but apparently it was not the correct original jack. Thanks for your info and assist. I will see what i can find to match more closely to my 62. Your not selling that pre 1963 bottle jack are you by any chance? Fjfjfj
Unfortunately that pre-1963 jack is not mine, the photo is from the Toyota Museum in Japan.
And the location of the screw on the neck flange. On later jacks, that screw is located on the neck flange above the part number. On the earliest 09110-35011 jacks, the screw is located on the neck flange on the side opposite the crank to raise/lower the jack, as in the 1st photo.
Other features of the early -35011 jack are the base of this jack being noticeably larger than later jacks, and the base does not include 'Made in Japan' on the bottom.

Thanks Man for more info. So, either way though, in your opinion, a SLOTTED JACK, even if the screw is in the " same " position as the Phillips head screw jack is STILL OLDER then the Phillips head screw jack correct? If so, then I will purchase the slotted jack because in my case the slotted jack I am looking at is identical looking to the Phillips head screw jack. Let me know your opinion, any opinions from any of you guys as well. Thanks. FJFJFJ
Yes, jacks with the slotted screws are older than ones with the Phillips head screws. Sounds like the jack you are looking at is like the photo, with TEQ logo, slotted screws, neck flange screw above the part number, 09110-35011. That jack dates from approx 1965-68.

Yep, that is very cool. I sure wish I could find one for sale, period correct for my 1962 fj40 restoration. I have focused on all period correct stuff, all stock restore. Can't seem to find that correct bottle jack. ANYBODY SELLING ONE?? LOL. I am interested. I have an old one but not a 1962. Not that old. Still looking. Nuclearlemon, yours is very cool. FJFJFJ

Been working on a write-up for some time, thanks for providing the motivation to finish it up. A reference covering Land Cruiser jacks through 1984 is posted in the 40 & 55 tech section. The original plan was for a thread, but the amount of material made that difficult to organize. Hope you find it useful.

I posted in the other thread and I think it is a fantastic reference. The hard work is appreciated by all, I'm sure. I'm glad you chose not to start a thread as well, as a stand alone document makes it easier to compile and add or change information and keep it consistent.
Now we need to find someone to do the same thing for tools. Very confusing as to what the tools and tool bags/rolls looked like for various years.
