Off the market...again

Located in Kingsport, TN. First and one of a kind...

Would consider a Troopy (FJ45/FJ75) on trade.

I want it, not enough money. I have a 84 Toyota PU 5.29s, welded rear, detroit front, dual cases, 36s, Longs, single cab, a lot of other parts, and a 93 Mitsubishi Monteo with snorkel and ARB rear locker. Partial trade? Didnt think so, but I still had to take a shot.

That is one of my favorite rigs.

What kind of MPG does this thing get.

If it's still for sale in a few months, I'm gonna have to think hard about this one!

Completely new and so pardon the ignorance. I am trying to answer the question: Is this FJ80 (or something similar) too much for us?

My wife and I are looking for something that will let us travel all over Baja; we do not look to get into trouble but want to, in case of trouble, be equipped to get out of it. Baja has sections of paved road, mostly dirt trails when off road, some fairly rocky sections, and, when it rains, good streams everywhere. It seems that TiredIronGRB's much modified FJ80 would be a good choice. My wife and I are pretty mechanically inclined but we don't work on our own cars. (She is a mechanical engineer and I am more electrical.) I am just wondering if we are asking for trouble if we buy TiredIronGRB's FJ80, or something similar that is highly modified, or should we just look for something stock?

Thanks for any input.

If you are concerned about MPG this isn't the Land Cruiser for you;)

Well that's certainly not the deciding factor, but it should definitely be considered since I wouldn't be trailoring it.

if you get down to 12k give me a call. my best friend just bought a Pinz off of linden engineering, and my 40 is fawked. im trying to figure out how to kick his ass without spending more jack than him. the only reason the prick bought it was 'cause i figured out he's recoil sensitive and he's skeeerd of my 45 colt handloads. its a penis thing.

how is that thing off camber?

How stacked are you leaving it if you got 15 for it?

interior accesories too?
winch and all?
any spares?
