Just did this last week 15 bucks for a mirror at pic appart4 dollars for the sensor. Picked up the glue for the base auto parts store 4 dollars and already had the wire less then 25 dollars hardest part was running the 2 leads to the behind the grill to the interior or the cab. His block was a nice touch.

Any plans to make more blocks? I have one of these mirrors for a few years. Very intrested on the block you make, any plans to make more?

How exactly is the temp sensor wiring routed from the headliner to the grill? Did you run it down the A pillar & then penetrate the firewall at some point?

Just ordered my block anyone know where to get the wiring diagram for the GNTX 313 with Homelink, temp and compass.

any info on the different types of gentex mirrors out there? Curious on best version to install?

Just picked up a Gentex Mirror (313) from a 2004-2005 Pathfinder/Titan (search for the truck application rather than the mirror model on ebay) Mine has the Homelink, 2 row (Compass and Temp) Display and auto dim. Paid 60 bucks for the mirror with harness. Havent installed yet but its a good looking mirror with some cool functions. I wanted the Homelink option with compass and temp displayed simultaneously.

Just found this thread. I sold off my Gentex as I didn't want to mess with mirror mounts and wish this block had been available then. You can purchase Gentex off of ebay that come with window mounts etc. Walmart.com had them for awhile too

Be great if someone could expand on that mount and fab a mount and drop arm to retain the body mounted mirror rather than deal with the adhesive at all. The body mounted mirror is one thing I love about older Toyotas.

The demand for that is ridiculously low, and I agree, I'd want to keep body mount as well. But since that's not going to happen, the block is an excellent option.

can you post up a link for your item, bidding will be closed but I want to see the pics. Thanks.

Has anyone done something like this where there is a rear view camera embedded into the mirror like some GM rear view mirrors?

Ive seen one install with the Gentex with the back-up camera. It was b/w and seemed ok for the size.
