Hi All, first time poster. I have a 92' LC 3FE L6 4.0 base model with 248K miles. The engine was rebuilt in 2019 at approx 200K miles and a single fuel injector was replaced at that time. The truck had been starting fine in the morning and would run forever until you turn the ignition off. Then, it either needs to sit for a while or I could crank the ignition half way a few times and it would start up. Now, it will only crank and not turn over.
My local shop checked the battery, alternator, start etc and said it has good spark. They believe it is related to the fuel injection but don't have the knowledge to work on the 92' and have referred me to another shop. BTW, I had the fuel tank, pump etc replaced several years ago.
Questions:
1.) 4.) Is there a trustworthy local Toyota shop in Northern Virginia that can diagnose and repair FI?
2.) Is there a diagnostic tool/machine to accurately diagnose a fuel injector issue?
3.) If the FI's, should I replace all 6 injectors at the same time?
4.) Is there anything else that should be replaced while the injector work is being done?
5.) Approx cost to replace fuel injectors and additional items?
Thank You for any help you can provide!
