FJ80-Fan Motor Under The Hood?

I'm trying to figure out what that fan thing on the drivers side front corner is, under my hood. It has a plastic tube that runs up by the manifold, but isn't connected. I see some don't have it in pictures, and I'd like to get rid of it to put another battery there if it isn't needed. Thanks

It comes on after you turn your truck off to help cool the engine compartment. You can live without it.
