Hi all,
I recently acquired my first LC and have been working on baseline maintenance with the help of existing mud threads. As I was going through the 5mm vacuum lines, I noticed that one of the VSVs mounted on the driver's wheel well appears to be broken. Based on the FSM, I think this VSV is for the fuel pressure regulator to help with start up, but I'm not certain. At the very least this seems like it would be a solid vacuum leak, unsure how important it is otherwise since the engine starts and idles well.

Can anyone comment on how critical this is? Any ideas a on an equivalent replacement part?

Thanks!

I know it's late and I can't comment on which part number it is or what it does exactly but I can say that I had to fix a broken nipple and I did so by going to the local Napa and finding the right size T-shaped vacuum connector, modifying it with a Dremel tool, and using JB weld for plastics to affix it to the broken edge. You need to be very careful to not let JB weld get on the inside or it will restrict vacuum. It's held up really well.
