Thanks yeah I try to keep it light if I'm driving around town cuz I also think wights is the gas killer but my cruiser has a ARB bumper, kamer rear bumper, 3 inch lift, and 32x12.5 BFG KM2's
And I think I get around 10MPG.
I WOULD BE A HAPPY CAMPER IF I GOT 17mp!!!!

I used to have a set of BFG KM2's, they were rough riding and I got terrible mileage (this on a '04 F-150)
When I traded them back for a set of allseasons, I picked up almost 3 mpg's. I'm just throwing it out there, tires as well as weight carried make a difference. I have Toyo MT's now on my 60, and did not lose mileage when I upgraded to them from Dunlop winter tires.

31s and a 350 i get 15 hwy... 10 city with the amount of emergency crap i have (water+filters, tons of spare parts, 4 guns, ammo, shovel, Hilift, trauma kit...) good luck chasing miles, i have given up haha

13 in my 62.

16 highway unladen. i got a 350 with TBI and 31s.

unfortunately i rarely drive highways and am always packed with gear sooooooo 11 mpg average

I got 10.5 mpg this weekend fully loaded travelling at 65 mph. I'm lifted with 35" tires, regared diffs at 4.88, and a stock drivetrain.

When mine was stock I could get 17 mpg on freeway doing 55 mph whcih tells me that your cruising speed on the freeway has a lot to do with it. Keep the RPM's down for better mileage.

There's not much to be done around town, just the nature of the beast, just watch your rpms on acceleration. On the highway try to keep the speed constant just above where your A440F goes into TC lockup (around 52 with stock tire size). With a properly maintained vehicle not overloaded and with nothing on the roof you should be able to get upwards of 15 mpg on level ground. If you get up into the 60s-80s bad aerodynamics really start to kick in.

you can dream....you can waste a lot of money chasing mpg in a 60 or other LC.

13 or so on the hwy
10 or so in town

do a tune up.... buy a DD import econo-box for mpg

Since they only get 10-12, I guess I shouldn't pass on that 15+ mpg was common for my truck on the highway when it still had a 3FE (with 19+ on one trip), and I've broken 16mpg with the 2FE now that it is broken in. Of course that's on good Alberta gas, I usually get lower mileage in Manitoba. (ethanol more common??)

Want great mileage?

Park the LC 'cept for adventures and drive your Prius the rest of the time, then average the mileage between the two.

Should come out around 31 mpg!!
