FJ62 little heat from front heater - help needed

Do you have a picture of this on the engine?

The mechanic probably capped off the line for a reason. Maybe there is a leak.
Ask him. And if he botched the job, go back and have him do it correctly.

The hoses and pipes wind around the engine under things. There really isn't any way to take a picture of it.

I just had my radiator rodded and reinstalled. My mechanic capped off the heater return line. Now I have no heat and I can't find a diagram of where the return line is supposed to connect back at the water pump.
It's an FJ60 1983 F2 engine.
Heater valve is clean and the heat worked great before the radiator was removed.
Any thoughts?

capping off the hose....does not fix the heat. Has to be more to the story?

hi, i know this is a old thread but am hoping for the best. Im having a no heat issue and have confirmed the thermostat is working ok and have back flushed the front heater core. I am still getting no heat in both the front and rear heaters. I have also burped the system and think i have all the air out. I want to make sure my heater hoses are connected to the right places and that a P/O didn't mix them up in the past. Can someone tell me where the top and bottom heater hoses on the passenger side heater core run? IE does the bottom one tie into the electric heater and water pump outlet or go right up to the heater control valve? My bottom hose gets nice and hot but the top one is ice cold.
Also how about the hoses to/from the heater valve, where should they connect to? The one going into the side is pretty hot but the bottom hose is cold as well.

reviving an old thread here but i’m having some heating issues with my fj62. there’s a lot of talk here that it’s the thermostat gasket. that won’t be my issue as i’ve swapped a 1hdt into it. my engine will be at proper operating temp but if it’s idling it will blow frigid cold air out the front vents until i start driving. then it will warm up but not hot by any means. again the engine warms up properly and stays hot. rear heater seems to be blowing hot air but my fan may be weak back there. any thoughts? does this sound like a plugged heater core? would higher RPM just push more fluid through hence why i’m getting heat only when driving?

so i came home from a two hour drive. the first 1.5 hours barely warm. my kids were in blankets and my wife put my mits on her feet. then the last half hour it started pumping heat out. what gives? should i be looking at a flush?
