FJ62 electrical ground locations?

I'm chasing a couple of electrical issues that I think are related to a bad ground somewhere - does anybody have an electrical schematic for the 62, or know the locations of all of the ground points? I figure the ones I'm probably chasing are behind the dash, but would be good to have eyes on all of em.

Cheers in advance...

There are ground points up under each of the kick panels. Take each one off and look up, they are visible. Kinda a pain to get at but they are important ones.
What exactly are the issues?

There's a schematic and ground locations are shown in the factory service manual. Do you have a service manual? Have you opened it?

The ground points are listed in the FSM, but what is not obvious from the FSM is that there are a couple of common ground buses behind the instrument cluster that ground a lot of circuits and can create a lot of weird electrical issues if they go bad.

See the burnt-looking orange plastic connector in the photo below? That's what I'm talking about. There are at least 10 circuits that ground through that connector. In my case, a short had caused the connector to partially melt, creating an intermittent ground for my headlights and blinkers. I think there is at least one more connector like this behind the instrument cluster. Worth checking into for sure.

To repair the above damage, I removed the plastic "cap" from the bottom of the connector and extracted the multi-pin bus from the bottom of the connector (leaving the wires in place). I cleaned up the bus and reinstalled, wrapping it all with electrical tape. I've had no issues since.

Thanks, I’ll check those.
Issues are a rear wiper that’s not working, only getting 10.8V at the plug. Headlights failed one time, but had a local auto electrician 😬 fix it and has been fine since. I figured that probably occurred because of a bad ground somewhere (relay was buzzing ie. insufficient voltage) so just want to check em all out.

I don’t have a real FSM, just a PDF I got off here years ago that has some pages missing.

There is also a little ground at the back of the truck. If you lay under the back and look up under where the rear electrical harness runs a long the back, there is a single bolt used as a ground. Make sure that is all clean. That may help. Sometimes just going in and cleaning connectors helps too. There is a large and important electrical connector in the back drivers cargo panel and the relays for the wipers and locks. I would clean those connections well.
If you need a PDF, we have them on our website for free download! Click the link in our signature. Tons of other helpful documents as well.
