Everyone should know you can buy relay's, fuses, wire, connectors on line or at radio shack and local auto parts store for <$50 - I took it one step at a time and created the new harness and now push 12.6v to my old Sylvania's; up from 9.8v! This combined with some Hella FF's fog lights (to fill in some holes in the light pattern) have given my daily driver great visibility for ~$100

FWIW places like West Marine, Del City Wire, and Waytek wire sell isolated studs that are perfect to power take-offs. I used one on my 60 mounted to the inner fender structure.
I'll suggest fastening down the relays. They are mechanical devices and over the long run aren't going to be happy about being bounced around.
I'm very envious of your new paint. I had thought that my local ROP might take it on, but they only work on dealership donated vehicles.
