I know this must be a stupid questions but I can't figure out how to get the a/c belt off so I can put on a new one. I have a 1988 FJ62. Currently putting in a new radiator, etc.

I've tried to adjust the idle pulley in order to get the slack I need to slip the belt off, but it doesn't seem to loosen.

Any tips or instruction would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

You need to loosen the bolt in the center of the idler pulley. then the adjuster will work.
